About
I received a bachelor’s degree of science in psychology and criminology from Florida State University and a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Ball State University. I am a licensed mental health counselor, certified clinical trauma professional, and master accelerated resolution therapist. I take an eclectic approach to therapy. That means I am not locked into any single method or approach to treatment. I apply whatever best addresses what my client needs that day.
Some of my go-to modalities are:
-
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
-
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
-
Interpersonal Psychotherapy
-
Motivational Interviewing
-
Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT)
-
Traumatic Grief Component Therapy (TGCT)
-
Written Exposure Therapy (WET)
I have years of experience working with teens and young adults as a therapist, mentor, and advisor. I have an intimate understanding of the social and academic pressures teens and young adults face. My clients gain the skills needed to overcome anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, grief, phobias, even poor communication.
Outside of the office, I can be found listening to true crime podcasts, traveling with my best friends, going to concerts, or cuddling with my pets. I have two dogs, a cat, and a hedgehog, and I am slightly obsessed with them! I’m a sucker for animals, and I LOVE when clients show me pictures of their pets!
